PIC programmer constructing Overview..!

This PIC programmer could be used for 18 and 40 pin microchip microcontrolers(PIC),
If you are going to use it for 40 pin PIC, I recommend to CONTACT ME before, cause some modifications should take place.

It works perfectly. I have been working with this programmer since 2005.
The way is connected to PC is by parallelport.
Use WinPIC or ProgPIC 2 softwares.. Click to get ProgPic2.
Also you will need to install DLPORTIO on your pc. Get Port IO driver.
Here are the schematics.

List of the necessary components required:

  1. 7805 and 7812 regulators(one of each)
  2. Ceramic capacitors (.1uF),quantity = 4
  3. ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR (10uF),quantity = 1
  4. 7407 IC (Hex buffer/Driver),quantity = 1
  5. PN2907 or 2N3906 GENERIC PNP SILICON TRANSISTOR,quantity = 2
  6. Parallel port DB25HM,quantity = 1
  7. LED (1)
  8. Resistors: 4.7K(2),10K(8),1K(1)
  9. Diodes: 1N4001(1),1N4148(2)
